Book Review: Know Who You Are. Live Like It Matters by Tim Tebow

This devotional has helped me to identify who exactly I am as a Christian and a follower of Christ. Tebow's book, Shaken, also helped me, but the interactiveness of this devotional helped me even more. I love Tebow's point of view and perspective on identity in Christ, but I wish that he would focus more on how to get there rather than just his life experiences; however, this book remains one of the best devotionals I've read. 

The Heart's Invisible Furies: Review

The Heart's Invisible Furies was an amazing book, as were every other John Boyne novel I have read. His use of historical fiction was impeccable, as always. John Boyne is one of my favorite authors, because of books like these that he writes. It is a long book, but it is definitely worth the read.

The Midnight Queen: Review

I enjoyed reading this one. It was a perfect blend of historical fiction and fantasy-two of my favorite genres. Hunter did a wonderful job writing this book. I can't wait to read the rest of the series! Usually these two genres aren't mixed, but this was an amazing example of why they should be. 

Jane of Austin: Review

Jane of Austin was very good. It made me cry, laugh, and feel every emotion possible. This book had everything from loyalty to family and romance. It was well-written and I enjoyed it the whole way through. If you like Jane Austen or contemporary romance, I definitely recommend this book. 

10 Things I Can See From Here: Review

This book was very powerful for me. Anxiety is something I struggle with daily, and it was nice to read something that made it seem like something normal that people go through. It was a very funny book and it was extremely moving. I loved everything about this book and cannot wait to read more from this author.

The Roanoke Girls

The Roanoke Girls by Amy Engel is a compelling novel about real issues. It is about a girl who struggles with suicide and is sent to live with her grandparents. Eleven years later, Lane is in Los Angeles and her grandfather calls her and tells her that her cousin is missing. Is she gone? Is she dead?

I really enjoyed Engel's writing and I thought it was very intriguing.

Things We Lost in the Fire: Review

This book was very well written, it just wasn't my type of book. It was a collection of short stories. All of the stories are historically correct, and historical fiction isn't my type of thing. I gave it 4 stars for the main reason that I strongly dislike history and anything to do with it.

The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon Review

The Sun is Also a Star is a beautiful novel about one teen that believes only in science and another who believes solely in love. Nicola Yoon did an amazing job with this book. I loved this book for a number of reasons, one being that the main character, Natasha, always said what she felt. She never held back and she tried to always be straightforward with the other main character, Daniel. Yoon also does an amazing job showing how hard it is for two races to mix, especially when the parents are immigrants.
I read this book in two days flat, and I seriously could not have loved it more. I seriously recommend this book to any YA reader, or really anyone who likes unusual romance stories. This book is spectacularly written and it is one of the best contemporary books I've read in a long time.
